Meeting Heroes and their families where support is needed most
Not every Hero carries the same load—and not every need looks the same.
The Heroes Fund exists to provide flexible, responsive support to military service members, veterans, first responders, and their families when it matters most.
Through the Heroes Fund, Heroes Compass is able to listen, respond, and act beyond one-size-fits-all solutions—meeting Heroes and their families with care, dignity, and intention.
Because support should be personal
Heroes Wish allows military members, veterans, first responders, and their families to request meaningful support that improves daily life, wellness, or morale.
Instead of assuming what help looks like, we ask and we listen.
Heroes Wishes may include:
Unit, station, or household items
Wellness and recovery tools
Morale and quality-of-life support
Gear or resources not covered by standard benefits
How it works:
Requests are submitted and verified
Requests are reviewed quarterly by the Heroes Compass Board
Approved wishes are fulfilled through donor and partner support
Support when life takes an unexpected turn
Emergency Relief Aid provides short-term assistance to Heroes and their families facing sudden hardship, including:
Line-of-duty injuries or service-related incidents
Medical emergencies
Natural disasters
Family or financial crises
This program is designed to offer relief, stability, and reassurance during critical moments.
Emergency requests may be reviewed outside of the standard quarterly cycle when urgent need exists.
Investing in the future of Heroes and their families
Service impacts generations. Through the Heroes Fund, Heroes Compass supports educational opportunities for:
Military members and veterans
First responders
Spouses and children of those who serve
Scholarships help reduce financial barriers and honor the long-term commitment made by both Heroes and their families.
Eligibility details and application timelines are announced annually.
Service leaves a lasting impact - not just on the individual, but on the people who stand beside them.
Many challenges faced by Heroes and their families fall outside traditional systems of support. The Heroes Fund allows us to step in where gaps exist and respond in ways that are personal, timely, and meaningful.
The Heroes Fund allows Heroes Compass to:
Respond to urgent and unexpected needs
Support wellness, recovery, and morale
Invest in education and future opportunities
Adapt support as circumstances change
It is the foundation that allows us to serve the whole Hero - not just the uniform.
To ensure fairness, sustainability, and meaningful impact, requests submitted through the Heroes Fund follow a structured review process.
Standard Review Schedule:
Quarter 1: January
Quarter 2: April
Quarter 3: July
Quarter 4: October
Applicants are notified following each review period. Emergency Relief Aid requests may be reviewed on an expedited basis when necessary.
The Heroes Fund is made possible by individuals, businesses, and community partners who believe support should be thoughtful, responsive, and rooted in real needs.
When you give to the Heroes Fund, your support helps:
Grant Heroes Wishes
Provide emergency relief
Fund educational opportunities
Respond to needs as they arise
Your generosity allows Heroes Compass to meet Heroes and their families with care when they need it most.
If you would like to sponsor a wish, please reach out to us directly.
As the Heroes Fund grows, so does its ability to serve those who serve others. Each contribution strengthens our capacity to respond with compassion, flexibility, and purpose.
The Heroes Fund exists so no Hero has to face hardship alone.
